The Dream: Defend the Dream—or Betray It!

The Nightmare casts its menacing shadow over the world of dreams. Guardians, will you manage to capture it before one of your own succumbs to the darkness?

The Dream is a tile-laying and social deduction game in which you all—or almost all—work together to defend the Dream. For behind the cooperative facade, anyone can succumb to Corruption and secretly work for the shadows. Every tile laid moves the game forward, but which one truly serves the Guardians? A game of traitors with easy-to-learn rules, fast-paced gameplay, and dreamlike illustrations.

How do you play The Dream?

Everyone starts the game on the Guardians’ side. On each turn, you’re secretly shown two tiles and choose one to place on the board to close the trap around the Nightmare. But you can also hide a Corruption tile: when you do, you switch sides and help the Shadow spread—without getting exposed. If the Guardians manage to capture the Nightmare, they all win together. Otherwise, the most corrupted traitor wins alone.
