Mazing: Find your way through the maze!

Mazing is an abstract cooperative game for 1 to 2 players designed by Jim Deacove. Your mission: guide the four Messengers to their destinations—the black ones to the white ones’ starting point, and vice versa. But the maze separating them is constantly changing: every tile you move opens one path or closes another. Think several moves ahead, avoid dead ends… Will you manage to get everyone across?

How to play Mazing?

On your turn, move your messengers and the pieces blocking the board to reshape the maze. Each piece has its own way of moving, indicated by an icon: everything is clearly marked on the game pieces. In solo play, you control both sides by alternating between a white piece and a black piece. When playing with two players, each player controls one color, and it’s up to you to choose your level of communication: share everything to solve the puzzle together, or limit yourselves to just a few clues to make the challenge tougher. To spice up your games, flip the double-sided board over and tackle its advanced side, which features more traps that permanently immobilize any piece that lands on them, or forbid your messengers from moving backward!
