Vivo: Play the right cards to win the trick!

Take the stage with Vivo, a trick-taking game with a twist! Here, it’s no longer the first card that calls the shots: each trick must follow a common harmony—an exact number of different suits to be combined. Everyone knows their own cards, but no one knows what the others are about to play. Watch what’s already been played, complete the harmony at the right moment, and try to slip to the very top or bottom of the trick, all while keeping an eye on the next harmony. The challenge is a team effort, but victory is all about you!

How to play Vivo?

The game is played in two rounds of 12 tricks, with 12 Note cards in hand. Each trick follows a Harmony card: Solo, Duo, Trio, or Quartet—exactly one through four suits, respectively. The first card is free, then each player plays to make the harmony possible. If you don’t have a suitable card, you play a “false note” and your card is ignored. At the end of the trick, the highest card scores 2 points and the lowest card scores its face value. The highest score after two rounds wins.
