Cockroach Poker: truth or lie?

Cockroach Poker is a bluffing game based on your ability to lie or see through your opponents’ lies. Each card represents a critter (cockroach, spider, rat or stink bug) that you try to pass on to other players. Is your opponent telling the truth, or lying? In any case, everyone is trying to get rid of their nasty critters!

How do you play Cockroach Poker?

At the beginning of your turn, you choose a card from your hand and pass it face down to another player while announcing the creature it supposedly shows. You can tell the truth, or lie by naming another type of critter! The player receiving the card must guess whether you’re being honest and answer “true” or “false” based on their intuition. If they have no idea, they may look at the card and try to pass it on to another player instead. If someone guesses wrong or gets caught lying, they must keep the card face up in front of them. As soon as a player collects four identical critters or has no cards left to play, they lose—and all other players win!
