Twisted Cryptids: Become an Elusive Legend

Twisted Cryptids is a placement and bluffing game where you play as a legendary creature seeking fame in a forest visited by humans. Hunters, hikers, and researchers roam the trails, and you must decide whether to evade them or use their presence to strengthen your myth. Each Cryptid has unique powers and opportunities to manipulate human perception in order to rise to true legendary status.

How to Play Twisted Cryptids

Each round, you control the movement of humans using Action cards and your special abilities. You manage three Hideouts, each linked to a secret stack of Observation cards that you can reveal at the right moment to score additional Myth points. Over the course of five rounds, you attract humans, scare them away, or send them elsewhere to optimize your score. At the end of the game, you reveal your remaining Sightings as well as your Hidden Trait before comparing scores to determine who becomes the true Legend of the Woods.
