In Tianxia, you play as the head of a noble family striving to prosper in the turbulent era of the Warring States. As the seven kingdoms — Yan, Zhao, Han, Wei, Qi, Chu, and Qin — wage relentless wars, you must extend your influence, gain prestige, and earn the favor of powerful rulers. Build your legacy in a China on the verge of unification, where diplomacy, strategy, and border defense intertwine in a struggle for power.

How to Play Tianxia

A game of Tianxia unfolds over four rounds set in 3rd-century BCE China. Each round, you appoint governors across the various regions to expand your network of influence. You support rival royal families to earn their favor, while trading goods with merchant ships to enrich your lineage and acquire valuable advantages. But your rise is constantly threatened: the nomadic Xiongnu warriors gather at the borders. You must mobilize your soldiers, build watchtowers, and raise walls to protect your lands and defend your prestige.
When the invaders reach the frontier, a battle erupts, involving all families in a shared struggle for survival and honor. At the end of the four rounds, the player with the most Prestige Points is crowned the most skilled governor, politician, merchant, and protector — and wins the game!
