Guerre Éclair: Relive the Battle of France in 1940

On May 10, 1940, bringing an end to the “Phoney War,” the German army attacked the Netherlands, Belgium, and France in accordance with “Plan Yellow.” Despite all attempts by the French and British to maintain a continuous line of defense, the front was breached at Sedan by enemy armored divisions effectively supported by the air force. The British Expeditionary Force re-embarked at Dunkirk, and France signed the armistice on June 22.

Guerre Éclair is a strategic head-to-head game for 2 players in which you reenact the clash between German and Allied forces during the Battle of France in 1940. Plan your operations and attempt to outflank your opponent in a fierce asymmetric duel. If you play as the German armies, you are on the offensive and must exploit the speed of your panzers to break through enemy lines, reach the sea, or capture Paris before your opponent can reorganize. If you are leading the Allied forces, you must organize a fierce defense to hold your positions, prepare decisive counterattacks, and repel the enemy advance. Guerre Éclair is a fast-paced and dynamic wargame where every decision can be a game-changer and lead your side to victory.
