COLLECTIONS and GAMES SERIES, what are the differences?

By browsing through a collection or series on our site, you'll be able to find at a glance all the games that share the same universe or mechanics that you like. This makes it easier for you to find games that are missing from your library, discover interesting variants or learn more about a game system that you already enjoy.

This organisation makes it easier for you to browse through the many products in our catalogue, whether you're a fan of Ticket to Ride, Unlock, Carcassonne, Dobble or Dixit.

Board game collection:

A board game collection brings together titles that evolve in the same universe or editorial logic. Each box or extension enhances the overall experience: new mechanics, new characters, new boards or cards, additional accessories, etc.
These collections often offer one or more basic boxes accompanied by modular extensions. This is the case, for example, with the Dixit, Carcassonne and 7 Wonders ranges, where each addition intelligently renews the game experience without having to relearn everything.

Board game series:

Conversely, a board game series brings together several titles that share similar mechanics, yet are completely independent. These are often standalone games, such as Dobble or Monopoly, that apply a tried-and-tested principle in a variety of universes or with slight rule twists. The Unlock series, for example, revisits the escape game concept with ever-changing scenarios, without ever losing the accessibility of its rules.

The publishers see these series and collections as natural extensions of the initial gaming pleasure. They allow players to stay in a familiar universe or rediscover familiar gameplay, while discovering new variations.
This way of working encourages smooth renewal, with diversity without starting from scratch, for an accessible, coherent and always rewarding experience.

You'll find all our collections of games, iconic series, add-ons, card games, family games and children's games in this section, designed to guide you through the ever-expanding world of board games.
