DESCRIPTION
De Facto is a game of association that turns major historical moments into a playground. Without speaking or miming, you play “Word” cards to give clues and help the other players guess a historical event. Find the right balance between clarity and ingenuity, all while trying to solve your opponents’ riddles! A clever game co-created by Benjamin Brillaud, aka Nota Bene, France’s first history YouTuber.
At the start of the round, draft your Word cards, then draw 3 Fact cards and keep 2. When you’re ready, make your announcement: place your most evocative Word cards on or around the timeline to guide others toward your historical fact. You’re not allowed to speak or mime, but you can bring your cards to life by moving them, covering them, or flipping them over. The first player to guess correctly and the player whose historical event is guessed both score the same number of points: getting others to guess counts just as much as guessing yourself!
