Trinkets: Trade to Build the Finest Collection

Beneath the floors and within the walls lies a secret world inhabited by little scavenging collectors. Will they be able to unearth the finest treasures before their rivals?

In Trinkets, you play as adorable rodent collectors searching for the finest abandoned treasures to decorate your burrow. Each turn, new trinkets appear on the table, and it’s up to you to get your hands on them… without a penny to your name! Here, you pay for your bids directly with the cards in your hand: the more you bid, the better your choices will be, but the cards you offer are never lost to your opponents. Once the turn order is set, each player takes two sets from among the trinkets on offer, including those left behind by other players. Keep an eye out for the Mirrors—wild cards that can complete any set—and aim for the most profitable collection to win!

How to Play Babioles?

A game of Babioles consists of three phases that are repeated each turn. During the “Discovery” phase, new trinkets are revealed in the center of the table and grouped into several sets. Next comes the trading phase: each player, in turn, offers as many cards as they wish from their hand. It’s possible to pass and not bid anything. Offers are ranked by the number of cards offered, and then by their total value in the event of a tie. This ranking determines the order of the collection phase, during which each player takes two sets from among the trinkets on the table or the offers passed over by the others. You cannot reclaim your own trade, except for the last player in line, who takes everything that’s left! The game ends after 5 or 6 rounds, depending on the number of players.
