Cardia - Tide & Storm: A Breath of Fresh Air for Cardia!

Cardia - Tide & Storm is the second standalone box in the Cardia series, playable on its own and designed for tactical 2-player duels. In this card game, losing is never a trivial matter, since it’s actually the weakest card that triggers your character’s special ability! Played cards remain visible on the table, allowing certain effects to interact with past duels. Read your opponent’s play to anticipate their next moves.

This set introduces two new decks with unique mechanics. The Tide deck delves into a marine universe and moves its characters across an archipelago of islands, unlocking valuable position bonuses along the way. The Storm deck, on the other hand, relies on a limited supply of vials, which you place on your cards to activate new effects and shift the balance of power at the most opportune moment.

How do you play Cardia - Tide & Storm?

Each round, both players place a card face down and then reveal it at the same time. The strongest card wins a Seal, while the weakest card activates its ability. After the duel, each player draws again to return to a hand of 5 cards, and a new round begins. The game ends as soon as a player obtains 5 Seals, triggers an immediate victory condition via a character ability, or renders their opponent unable to play a card.
