Trait Rapide: Sketching Against the Clock!

Trait Rapide is a drawing and party game for 3 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, with games lasting about 20 minutes. One player draws a card without looking at it and shows it to the others: it’s up to you to draw the word as quickly as possible on your slate, then grab the free token with the lowest number. The guesser then looks at the slates in order, from the lowest number to the highest: if they guess the word on the very first slate, you score the jackpot! But be careful—speed doesn’t always equal skill: a drawing that’s too sloppy might be incomprehensible, and you’ll lose those points...

How do you play Trait Rapide?

Each round, one player becomes the guesser and draws a card without looking at it, while the others discover the word to illustrate. All players draw simultaneously on their slates to provide the clearest visual clue as quickly as possible. The first to finish collect the most valuable tokens, since the drawings are revealed in order, from fastest to slowest. The sooner the word is guessed, the more points you earn: every second counts, but a drawing done too hastily can cause you to miss a golden opportunity. The game ends as soon as a player reaches the target score: the person with the most points wins the game!
