Not Alone is an asymmetrical card game that pits one player, playing as the Creature, against all the others, the Castaways. Stranded on the planet Artémia after their ship crashed, the Castaways explore the world using Location cards and try to hold out with their Survival cards until rescue arrives. Meanwhile, the Creature relentlessly hunts them down to assimilate them into the planet’s biomass. The game unfolds as a race between the Rescue token and the Assimilation token: the first faction to reach its Victory space wins.

How to Play Not Alone?

On each turn, the Castaways secretly choose a Location card and place it face down—they can discuss it freely, but each player decides for themselves. The Creature then places up to three Hunt tokens on the ten locations in Artemia. Once the cards are revealed, survivors in safe locations trigger powerful location effects, while the others lose Will tokens or suffer the effects of the Hunt cards. Managing your hand is essential: played cards accumulate in a visible discard pile, making your choices predictable. You can spend Will tokens to Resist and retrieve your cards, or Surrender to reset everything—at the cost of a heavy collective toll.
