Vos Trucs Préférés: A trick-taking game based on your favorite things!

Vos Trucs Préférés is a party and trick-taking game where the value of the cards is based on your preferences! At the start of each round, you create the cards used for the trick-taking game by ranking your favorite things within a given theme. During the tricks, the value of the cards will be hidden: figure out what your friends’ favorite things are to determine which cards are the strongest. Play your cards at the right moment and get to know your friends well to win!

How to play Vos Trucs Préférés?

At the start of each round, give your neighbor a theme: movies, animals, days of the week, ice cream flavors, monsters, Finnish metal bands, or the worst things to eat on a train... Then secretly write down 6 answers related to the theme you were assigned, and rank them in order of preference from 1 to 5, plus one “intruder”—something you hate about that theme. These values (1 through 5 or “intruder”) are then hidden for the round. It’s up to the other players to figure out your ranking to guess the value of the cards you’ve created. It’s your turn to do the same for the cards created by the other players! Cards with a value of 1 are the strongest: these are your loved ones’ favorite things. Except when an “outsider” is in play—these beat the 1s! Win the most tricks to win the game.
