In Venice, whispers in the shadows suggest that the Doge is ill... He who once ruled the city with an iron fist—now La Serenissima is the scene of a battle for influence, dirty tricks, and crimes!

L'Ère des Masques is a game of bluffing and strategy in which you use masks to take control of the city of Venice. You have access to Mask cards in 5 colors, each color possessing a distinct power. During your opponent’s turn, read their hand to guess which card they played and thwart their plans! Your opponent will try to do the same: be ready to bluff to deceive them. 

How to play L'Ère des Masques?

The goal of the game is to have 4 cards of the same color or at least one card of each color in your play area. On your turn, you may draw 2 cards or play a card from your hand. When you play a card, your opponent may:

• Pass on the card. You add the card to your play area and apply its power. There are 5 powers, with effects ranging from drawing cards to discarding your opponent’s cards, to looking at your opponent’s hand.
• Try to counter the card. Your opponent tries to guess the color of your card before it is revealed. If they are wrong, they discard a card from their hand. If they are right, you discard the card played this turn.
