Locus: Check off Tetris pieces!

Locus is a flip & write and draft game in which you choose colorful Tetris-style shapes to place on your score sheet. Choose the squares you check off carefully to score points, get bonus pieces and blocks, and above all, avoid getting stuck! Each area of the grid has its own way of scoring. There are many strategies in this accessible family game!

How to play Locus?

Players must score the most points on their score sheet.

Each turn, you draft (choose one after the other) a card representing a Tetris-style shape. Fill in this shape in the corresponding colored area on your sheet. Each area has its own scoring rules: filled rows or columns, completed shapes, connected segments. The blue area works like a reverse Tetris game: you try to make your shapes go as high as possible.

When you check a box with a bonus, you gain an advantage. The pieces allow you to change the shape or color on your cards. Bonus blocks are added immediately to your sheet.

After a number of turns determined by the number of players in the game, the game ends. Count up the points. The area of your sheet that earns you the fewest points has its points doubled. The highest score wins the game.
