The Vale of Eternity – Artifacts Expansion

This expansion requires the The Vale of Eternity base game to be played.

Take on the role of a Summoner and harness the power of curses to become the true master of mythical creatures!

This expansion adds new creature cards for you to incorporate into your game.

New mechanics also join the experience: Summoners represent the characters you embody in the game. Draft or randomly draw a Summoner tile at the beginning of the game — it grants you a unique ability that evolves as the game progresses, adding replayability and asymmetry.

The expansion also introduces a Curse mechanic. Some of the creature cards included in this set are cursed: they indicate a certain number of Curse tokens to place on the card when it is played. Each turn, you may move one Curse token from each of your cursed creatures onto your Summoner tile. At the end of the game, Curse tokens on your cards in play make you lose two points each, but soothed cursed creatures (those without Curse tokens) earn you one point!

Finally, Seals can help you calm your cursed creatures or reduce the cost of summoned cards. You start the game with 3 Seals, and certain effects allow you to reactivate them after use.
