The world of Altered has suffered the effects of a global cataclysm. A magical storm born of the collision between reality and fantasy has irreversibly altered the world. The few human communities that survived the apocalypse responded to a mystical call by converging on a peninsula now known as Asgartha.

Nearly 500 years after the cataclysm, it's time for mankind to launch expeditions to rediscover the world beyond the gates of Asgartha, and to confront the Tumult, the magical phenomenon that continues to alter the world.

In Altered, you play as the Hero of one of the 6 Factions of the game. Sent on an expedition, you and your Companion are to be the first to rediscover what happened to the Earth, after the Confluence, a magical storm, merged the imaginary world and ours.

Altered brings a lot of new elements to the world of trading card games. With its non-combat based gameplay, Altered is easy to learn and still offers a lot of strategic depth. The KS edition of Altered offers all the benefits of the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. Compared to the classic Altered edition, each booster contains an additional card, and you'll find more rare cards, foil cards and unique cards. All cards in the KS edition have a logo that differentiates them from the classic edition. All KS Edition hero cards are foil, and you can get cards with alternative illustrations as well as exclusive promotional cards.
