In Galileo Galilei, you take on the role of a Renaissance astronomer striving to become the most renowned scholar of the age. Using your telescope, you observe the heavens to discover new celestial bodies, write your theories, and lecture at the university. But every breakthrough comes with a risk: the Inquisition watches closely, ready to condemn any idea deemed heretical. It’s up to you to balance scientific ambition and caution to make reason prevail.

Galileo Galilei also includes a solo mode, where you face off against Tycho Brahe, the famed astronomer known for his exceptionally precise telescope.

How to Play Galileo Galilei

Each turn, move your telescope across the sky to choose from five available actions. Observe planets and star systems, record your discoveries in the library, or give lectures at the university to increase your fame. Actions can be upgraded as the game progresses, offering more powerful effects and greater strategic depth. Collect lenses of different colors to make groundbreaking discoveries—but beware of the Inquisitors, whose visits may ruin your reputation… unless you can turn them to your advantage. The game ends when the last Discovery card is placed, after which all astronomers tally their victory points.
