In Haïku, you are caught in the terrifying parade of the 100 demons, the dreaded Hyakki yakö. To survive, you must guide your companions to the safety of the pagoda before the Yokaïs catch you. But here, words are your only weapon: you will compose short three-line poems to describe Japanese prints and give clues to your teammates. A cooperative game where poetry, intuition, and strategy come together.
At the start of each round, 6 Japanese prints are revealed. Each player secretly chooses one, then creates a haiku using 3 of the 16 verse fragments at their disposal. One after another, players read their poem aloud, and the others must guess which print inspired it. A correct guess brings the group closer to the pagoda, while a wrong answer allows the Yokaïs to advance. The game continues until the players reach the pagoda safely—or the demons overtake them.
