Tales and Legends is part of the Story Box series — a line of cooperative memory games where players invent a story to memorize illustrated cards. It can be played by 2 to 8 players, ages 8 and up, in about 15 minutes.

Cards to remember

In the heart of the labyrinth, you kissed a frog and danced with a fairy… and that’s when the dragon appeared! What happens next?

A game of Story Box is played in two phases. The first one lasts 2 minutes. During this time, play one of the three cards from your hand face up on the board while explaining how it fits into the story you are all building together. There are no turns — anyone can play at any time, so don’t let the story stop! Time is ticking, and the more cards you play, the more points you can score later!

In the second phase, flip the deck you created face down. One by one, tell the part of the story that matches the next card, then reveal it. If you’re correct, you earn 2 points! If you’re wrong, you lose 1 point. Other players can give you hints, but if you find the right answer thanks to their help, you only score 1 point. Once all cards are revealed, total everyone’s score. Will you beat your previous record?
