The world of Altered has suffered the effects of a global cataclysm. A magical storm born of the collision between reality and fantasy has irreversibly altered the world. The few human communities that survived the apocalypse responded to a mystical call by converging on a peninsula now known as Asgartha.

In Altered, you play as the Hero of one of the 6 Factions of the game. Sent on an expedition, you and your Companion are to be the first to rediscover what happened to the Earth, after the Confluence, a magical storm, merged the imaginary world and ours.
