The plane of Kamigawa is threatened when the spirits which are worshiped by the mortals and known as the essence of life begins to attack the mortals. The edition tells the tale of the princess Michiko, daughter of the warlord Konda, which is going to go in pilgrimage to the other clans of Kamigawa to forge an alliance and find a way to calm the wrath of the spirits.
