In these investigative games, the objective is often similar: to reconstruct the facts, understand the motives, identify the culprits... and above all, not let yourself be fooled.
However, the mechanics vary: some games let you investigate freely on the basis of documents, objects or fictitious archives, like
Cold Case or
Dossiers Criminels.
Others will limit you to a single element (a map or photos) or push you to cooperate by scattering information unevenly, like
Micro Macro or
Perspectives. You may not even be allowed to speak like in
Alice is Missing... so how do you communicate with your friends?
Finally, perhaps one of you will be the traitor to unmask?
Solo or in a group, cooperative or competitive, all these games have one thing in common: they challenge your sense of observation, your logic and your ability to make the right deductions at the right time.
Happy investigating!
